Farihah is a dedicated advocate for early childhood education, driven by a love of kids and a commitment to social justice. A native of New York and a California transplant, she studied and implemented project-based and culturally responsive pedagogy as a second grade, Pre-K, and Transitional Kindergarten teacher in low-income communities in New York and the Bay Area. In addition to holding a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and a Site Supervisor permit, Farihah is a barred attorney, with a focus in Family Law. She has also studied the effects of media campaigns on children’s development. Farihah enthusiastically brings her diverse knowledge base and her passion for early childhood development to her role at VIVA as a Senior Associate Consultant.
